Dear Life,
5 Minutes for Mom is having their sixth annual Blog Party. Sounds like so much fun...I just have to participate! Sit back...take a few minutes to get to know the Mom behind the BOYS!
I am Tracy....Wife, Mother, Sister, Friend, trying to rediscover WHO I AM after 18 years of mommyhood!
(Isn't my sweetheart super handsome?) I love that man up there so much...he is amazing...we have been married for almost 18 years and it really feels like yesterday.
I have a senior in high school
And a Freshman
I'm sending one off to Hawaii for school in the summer....(sniff)
And the other is planning on working for the State Department!
I have one who is in 6th grade in Junior High and knows where he wants to go....basketball for BYU and the Lakers...
I have a 4th grader
Who loves theater, dancing and singing....he's hilarious!
And I have my five year old....who will be starting Kindergarten in the fall...and has Spina Bifida.
Kids ranging from high school to preschool...keeps me busy. Having one that has "extras" keeps me extra busy.
Now that I'm 40 (gasp), I'm trying to manage my health (ugh) and rediscover who I am and what I love My health has become an issue as I have gained quite a bit of weight over the years. I am determined to get rid of it and am in the process of seeing various doctors trying to figure out the best path for me. Stay tuned on that front..it's a process. I have found myself becoming an advocate out of necessity; one of my children has ADD, and of course Kumaka and his health issues have really taught me that I am their first advocate, sometimes their only advocate. Because of that I have discovered passion for advocacy. I also have learned to appreciate challenges, difficulties, and hardships....they have taught me the best lessons in life. My heart has been broken and bruised and lifted up again by a God who loves me. Last but not least I love to write...hence my blog! I want to change the world...well maybe my little portion of it! I love the blog world...I have met amazing people...people who are supportive and loving from all over. People I haven't met in person but people I call friends.
I am super excited to find out more about you all.....

ReplyDeleteHi! Stopping by from the UBP12! Looking forward to following your story. We have one (and possibly 2) with special needs - in process to get our older son evaluated at the end of summer. It's just nice to know, sometimes, that other people "get it" even if they have very different issues. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteTracy, I bow at your awesome and stunning blog! Your family photos are so cool, were they taken in Hawaii?! 5 boys, and you can hold it all together, can you say just shy of sainthood in my book?! Stopping by and following via UBP12, but you found my blog first! Hugs to you, and your guys! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteStopping by from UBP. What a handsome group of boys you have!
ReplyDeleteYour entire family is just beautiful! I love that picture of you and your husband, hope you have it framed in your house :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by from the UBP, and thanks for the following, I am also your newest follower.
And oh boy! Yes, a house full of boys! My husband has the opposite problem as he is the lone man amongst girls (I know he loves it because he is THE favorite) although maybe he would love to have a son. Not sure about that though, some days I think we are ready for one more, and some days my hands are so full the idea of one more scares me! Ha!
So nice to meet you and I am looking forward to getting to know you :)
Love your blog and positive attitude! Gorgeous family! Glad to meet you via UBP12 special needs linky. Look forward to reading more!
