Dear Life,
Going to Hawaii was surreal. Half the time I couldn't even believe I was actually there. I have wanted to go to Hawaii for 19 years. My husband is Hawaiian, my kids all have Hawaiian names, my in laws were born in Hawaii, we have tons of family in Hawaii....and yet I went 18 years before getting there. Going there was a dream...seeing first hand the beautiful island of Oahu...and seeing family (some I knew already and some I met for the first time). But even more than that I realized that some of the magic of Hawaii is their simple way of living. Material things are not as important...you live with what you have...you live simply...and your family is the most important thing. I came across this saying and it fits what I felt why I was there:
Hawaiian Rules to Live By:
Never judge a day by the weather.
The best things in life aren't things.
Tell the truth - there's less to remember.
Speak softly and wear a loud shirt.
Goals are deceptive - the unaimed arrow never misses.
He who dies with the most toys - still dies.
Age is relative - when you're over the hill, you pick up speed.
There are 2 ways to be rich - make more or desire less.
Beauty is internal - looks mean nothing.
No Rain - No Rainbows.

OM gosh, I don't know where to begin! What gorgeous pics! Look at the color of that water; looks like paradise! That rainbow shot is gorgeous too! I really want to go to Hawaii but we've got to wait until the little one is a little older so that she can endure the long plane ride :o)
